The title of Spurgin's CD , "Out of the Fire" is a collection of songs that encompass the different passages of life.
One of the songs called "My Town" is featured in a new television promotion for Council Bluffs, Iowa on Cox Cable.
"Out of the Fire" also features the talents of Rick's wife Mary Jo Spurgin and fellow musicians Jeff Reeks, Bill White, Bob Machmuller, Jack Caranci and Glen Smith.
Spurgin's CD can be purchased at all local Omaha area Homer's, Borders, Barnes & Noble and CD Baby.com.
You can see Spurgin performing with his band also called "Out of the Fire" all around the Midwest. The band consists of Jeff Reeks on drums and vocals, Bill White on bass and vocals.
"Out of the Fire" features many of Rick's songs as well as high energy classic rock & roll from the 70s to today.
Rick Spurgin is currently working on a new CD called "The Awakening" coming soon in 2010.
